It's no secret that we love Barnes & Noble AND that we love Hex Effects AND that we love a well-made guacamole with garlic and a hint of lime. Well, two of our beloved things are coming together to bring you something very special. For a limited time, Barnes & Noble is offering a limited-edition of Hex Effects.

Hex Effects: Bad Omens — a Barnes & Noble exclusive

Visit your local Barnes & Noble to pick up this collector's edition of Hex Effects. The game not only sports a snazzy new silver cover, but it also comes with two never-before-released cards!

Full Moon: triggers one Disaster per player! Go around clockwise deciding which Disaster punishment gets enacted for each person.

Albatross: can be used as the final treatment you need to win the game OR as a way to prevent someone from playing their final treatment (out of turn).

Given its extreme power, The Albatross add an almost “social deduction” vibe — everyone will want to know who’s got it.

I just gave Golf Orbit a try, and I must say that I am quite impressed! The game's latest features are quite appealing. The levels that are based on the subject of orbits are quite fascinating. Making excellent golf shots is a breeze. I am a big fan of this game!

Super disrespectful to your original backers who made this game possible to later sell an exclusive version at retail with bonus content.

We back early and make the game happen and then you force us to buy a second copy in order to get all the cards. Really bad strategy if you’re wanting our continued support and backing future games.

This makes me seriously question supporting any of your future campaigns, and I’m sure I’m not the only one.

I live in the UK, picked up the original game from the UK Games Expo, and also wondered if there's a way I can get the new cards. Even if I didn't already own the game, it seems Barnes & Noble don't ship to the UK :( I think I read about a potential Hex Effects expansion pack, any chance they might end up in there? Hex Effects is one of my favourite games at the moment!

Nope! They’re working on a full expansion including these cards.
